Senior Accounting Clerk Joan Frick is retiring after over 21 years of service to the City of Elk River.
Joan was an outstanding employee and an asset to the City of Elk River. She performed her duties with
excellence and professionalism; we were lucky to have her for so long. We will miss Joan and would like
your assistance in wishing her continued success and happiness in her retirement.
Action Requested
City Administrator Lori Johnson would like to say a few words on behalf of Joan's retirement and Mayor
Klinzing is requested to read and present to Joan the proclamation making May 19,2006, as Joan Frick
Day.

PROCLAMA TION
Joan Frick
WHEREAS, Joan Frick is retiring from the City of Elk River after over 21 years of out~tanding,
dedicated service; and
WHEREAS, Joan Frick started her employment in a part-time capacity as an Accounting
Clerk working her way up to a full time Senior Accounting Clerk; and
WHEREAS, Joan Frick has earned the respect and admiration of her peers, the community
and fellow co-workers, through knowledge of her job, her good sense
of humor and her enthusiasm towards her work; and
WHEREAS, for her dedicated service to this community, the Elk River City Council,
fellow employees and citizens of the community extend their sincere appreciation
to Joan Frick and wish her a long, happy and healthy retirement!
THEREFORE, I, Stephanie Klinzing, Mayor of the City of Elk River, do hereby proclaim
Friday, May 19, 2006 as JOAN FRICK DAY, in recognition and appreciation
of the loyal and professional service provided by Joan Frick.
