Cover Sheet Location Map Memo from Fire Chief Applicants Narrative Site Plan Floor Plan Aerial Image . . . . . . Overview In November of 2004, the applicant (River of Life Church) was granted an Interim Use Permit for one portable office until September 1, 2006. In order to meet the ever growing needs of their congregation, the applicant is continuing the design process for a building expansion due to a shortage of office space in their existing facility. They are requesting an Interim Use Permit to place two portable classrooms (12x60) on the north side of their existing building. They are also requesting an extension to their existing Interim Use Permit (for the same type of request for the existing 16 x 80 office) for the same time frame. Analysis The proposed location of the two portable offices is on the north side of the existing building and will be on site until the summer of 2010, at which time the portable structure would be removed. The location of the portable office would not affect either traffic circulation or parking. The proposed location of the offices is screened by existing vegetation and the home across from the driveway may not have visibility as the parking area is at much higher elevation than the house. The proposed locations will not be visible from neighboring residents. Planning Commission Actions Noone spoke at the Public Hearing. The Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the request. We now have 7 full time pastors and administrative staff to assist them. At this time we have a severe shortage of classroom space and we are requesting an Interim Use Permit to place two 12X60 portable classrooms. We intend to place them on the north side of our present building. We also would like to request an extension on our current Interim Use Permit for the Portable Office located on the south side of our building. We anticipate that our next construction phase will be completed in the Spring/Summer of 2010 and we would request to use this office and classroom space until that time.
