Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. the meeting of the Elk River Economic
Development Authority was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by President Gongol!.

COMMISSIONER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0.

Due to an error in the public hearing notice Lori Johnson requested that no action
be taken on these two issues. She requested the EDA to call a special meeting
for June 17, to hold the public hearing.

Reoorts
The EDA reviewed the following agenda issues:
· Sustainable City Showcase
· Business Incubator Program
· Med Link Medical Prospect
· HRA Update - King and Main Redevelopment Project
· Gagne Property and Prospects
. Scott Abernethy Prospect
. Proposal for Trucking Businesses

Lori Johnson and Steve Rohlf reviewed the King and Main Redevelopment issue.
Lori Johnson informed the EDA that the city is required to hold a public hearing
prior to purchasing the property. The public hearing is scheduled for June 17.
Steve Rohlf reviewed the environmental issues associated with the property. He
distributed an environmental site assessment for the affected properties. The
environmental assessment indicated that the costs associated with
environmental clean up total $19,468.71. Steve Rohlf indicated that he is
negotiating this issue with the Realtor. The EDA felt that the environmental costs
associated with personal items should be the responsibility of the seller. Steve
Rohlf indicated that this would be discussed by the City Council.

Introduction of Director of Economic Develooment
President Gongoll introduced Paul Steinman. Paul Steinman is the candidate that
will be recommended to the City Council for appointment as Director of
Economic Development.

MEETING. COMMISSIONER DWYER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED
