SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL
MONDAY, OCTOBER 26, 1998
Members Present:
President Duitsman, Commissioners Dwyer, Farber, Thompson,
Holmgren, Bender, and Gongoll

1. Call Meetina To Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. the special meeting of the Elk River
Economic Development Authority was called to order at 5 p.m. by President
Duitsman.
2. Consider Aqenda
COMMISSIONER GONGOLL MOVED TO APPROVE THE 10/26/98 ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY AGENDA. COMMISSIONER DWYER SECONDED THE
MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7-0.

Public Hearina - Sale of EDA-owned Industrial Land

Executive Director Paul Steinman indicated that the purpose of the special EDA
meeting is to hold a public hearing to allow citizen input on the sale of the EDA-
owned industrial lot in the Elk River Industrial Park. He stated that the sale of the
lot is to Supermats, Inc. for the purpose of completing construction of a 35-40,000
square foot manufacturing facility.
President Duitsman opened the public hearing. There being no one for or against
the matter, President Duitsman closed the public hearing.
COMMISSIONER FARBER MOVED THAT THE SALE OF LOT 2, BLOCK 2, ELK RIVER
INDUSTRIAL PARK IS ADVISABLE AND APPROPRIATE AND IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE
CITY AND THAT THE TRANSACTION FURTHERS THE AUTHORITY'S GENERAL PLAN OF
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER. COMMISSIONER BENDER
SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7-0.
4. Adiournment
There being no further business, COMMISSIONER FARBER MOVED TO ADJOURN THE
MEETING. COMMISSIONER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION
CARRIED 5-0.
The meeting of the Elk River Economic Development Authority was adjourned at
5:50 p.m.
