SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL

1. Call Meetina To Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereot the meeting of the Economic
Development Authority was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by President Dwyer.

COMMISSIONER GONGOLL MOVED TO APPROVE THE APRIL 24, 2000, EDA AGENDA.
COMMISSIONER MOTIN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0.

No one appeared for open mike.
4. Consider Renewal of Business Incubator Lease
The purpose of the special EDA meeting was to discuss the possibility of extending
the Business Incubator building lease. Marc Nevinski explained that the purpose
of extending the lease is to give perspective tenants the ability to sub-lease
space in the building for a period of at least one year. Marc stated that currently
SolarAttic is the incubator's only tenant but several other prospective companies,
have contacted the city regarding the incubator program.
Discussion was held regarding the future of the incubator program. It was the
consensus of the HRA to seriously discuss whether or not to continue with the
program following this next lease extension.
COMMISSIONER KLINZING MOVED TO RENEW THE LEASE OF THE INCUBATOR
BUILDING WITH LARRY HICKMAN FOR 13,186 SF AT A RATE NOT TO EXCEED $1.85 PER
SQUARE FOOT. COMMISSIONER THOMPSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION
CARRIED 6-0.

There being no other business, COMMISSIONER GONGOLL MOVED TO ADJOURN
THE MEETING. COMMISSIONER MOTIN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION
CARRIED 6-0.
The meeting of the Elk River Economic Development Authority adjourned at 5:50
