REVIEW COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULE

In the first four months of each calendar year, a number of
special City Council meetings and worksessions are held. It is
appropriate for City Councilmembers to bring their calendars to
this 1/4/93 meeting so that we can begin making out our winter
schedule. Meetings that need to be planned include the
following:
- Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Worksessions - Typically
these worksessions are held on the holiday in January and
February. In 1993 these dates are Monday, January 18 and
Monday February lS...It is unknown if more than two
worksessions for the CIP will be necessary.

- City Council/Planning Commission worksession - With the
City Council and Planning Commission both having some new
members, it is appropriate to have a planning and zoning
worksession. These worksessions have been held in the
past and have been typically held on a Saturday morning.
Scheduling of this worksession may need to take place
after the Planning Commission appointments are approved by
the City Council.
- City Hall/Police Station Tour

- Library/City Council meeting - The Library has submitted a
facilities expansion report to the City Council. This
report was accepted by the City Council and the Council
indicated that a follow up joint meeting would be held in
order to discuss the need for the library expansion and
possible financing for this project.

Recreation Commission in the late winter, early spring
season. The Council can meet with the Commission on the
Commission's normal meeting date, which is the first
Wednesday of the month, or the Council can request that
the Commission meet with them on a Monday evening. The
first good opportunity for this meeting on a scheduled
Council meeting date would be on the first or last Mondays
in March.
- City Council/Plannning Commmission joint meeting - Above
and beyond the worksession noted above, the City Council
meets with the Planning Commission on an annual basis to
review the status of projects and programs. This mayor
may not be necessary this year as a worksession is
anticipated to take place.
In addition to the above meetings, the Council has also
discussed the need for a joint meeting with the City of otsego
and with the Utilities Commission. As the City Council can
tell, the winter months are the heavy planning period for the
City for the upcoming calendar year. Please bring your
calendar to this City Council meeting so that we can begin to
schedule some, if not all, of the above noted meetings.
