RE: MAIN STREET BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
Dear Mr. Klaers:
As part of the Main Street Bridge Project, a new plaque will be provided and installed which
includes "Sherburne County" and the bridge number and the year built. All plaques from the
original bridge will also be reinstalled.
If the City should desire, however, additional plaques could be fabricated at City cost and
installed by the Contractor. The plaque(s) could, for example, have City logos or names. We
have spoken to the Contractor's manufacturer of the plaques who indicated an estimated cost for
a 12" x 18" plaque would be $1,600. The material for the plaque would be manganesed bronze.
Please contact me if you would like us to proceed any further on this matter. We would need
specific information on what the City would like on the plaque. In order to have the plaque
ready for next spring, the information would need to be obtained by mid-January 1993. Please
call me if you have any questions.
