1993 PARKS CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROJECTS
DATE:
SUBJECT:
.
At the March Commission meeting, a motion was approved to
recommend spending $27,880 of the Park Dedication fund for
improvements to neighborhood parks. This amount is similar to
what has been spent in the previous few years. Phil Hals,
Street Superintendent, presented a list of possible projects to
the Commission. This attached list highlights the projects
that the Commission endorsed and also the projects which the
Commission deleted. The projects with three asterisk marks are
the projects deleted. If these deleted projects are also
desired by the City Council, alternative funding will have to
be identified. Typically, the City Council reviews the Park
and Recreation Commission recommendations on smaller park
Capital Improvements that are financed from the Park Dedication
fund. A motion authorizing the expenditure of Park Dedication
funds is necessary.
