City Administrator Lori Johnson completed a Community Leader Survey and returned it to CenterPoint
Energy. Communities that returned their survey by April 30 were included in a random drawing for
$250.00. The City of Elk River has been awarded $250.00 that will be used in the general fund.

A contribution in the amount of $250.00 was received to be used in the general fund.

It is requested that Mayor and Council adopt the attached resolution acknowledging the monetary
contribution from CenterPoint Energy pursuant to Minnesota State Statute 465.03.

RESOLUTION #06-
RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River completed a Community Leader Survey provided by
CenterPoint Energy and was entered into a random drawing along with other communities
who returned their survey by April 30, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River has been awarded a $250.00 contribution from
CenterPoint Energy with the intent it be used by the City of Elk River for the general fund;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River
to acknowledge the support and commend CenterPoint Energy for their contribution.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 19th day of June 2006.
