Sherburne County Fair Parade
Introduction
It is time once again for the Sherburne County Fair. The Fair will be held Thursday-Sunday, July 13-16,
2006. The theme this year is Wagon Wheels to Ferris Wheels.
Discussion
Parade Line-up
The parade is scheduled for Thursday, July 13, 2006 starting at 6:30 p.m. Please arrive by 6:00 p.m. in
order to get set up on the fire truck. The parade will begin lining up on Main Street starting at Rush Street
on both sides of Main Street up to Morton Avenue. There will be approximately 100 units in the parade
following the same route as used in 2005.
Parade Route
The parade will step off at 6:30 p.m. at Rush Street and Main Street, turn right onto Orono Road, follow
Orono Road into the fairgrounds at the pit area, into the grandstand, and exit out the fairgrounds at the
large north gate. Parade traffic may then disassemble in the main parking lot of the fairgrounds and the
road between Cenex and the fairgrounds.
Financial Impact
Approximately 100 Ibs. of candy will be ordered for the parade.
