SUBJECT: PART TIME SUMMER EMPLOYEE
For the past two summers, Chris Leeseburg has been employed
by the Street/Park Department as a working crew leader for the
summer youth workers that are furnished to the City by the
State of Minnesota. This agreement has worked out well for
this department as it has provided another level of supervision
for the summer youth so their job output is increased. It also
adds one more working member to the staff and saves money in
wages over having a regular full time person supervise the
youth.
I request that the City Council authorize me to rehire Chris
Leeseburg at $6.20/hour which is $.50 per hour over his wages
of last year. Chris has done a very good job for us in the
past, has a good attendance record and works well with the full
time staff.

In order that I may spend more time with my family and take
advantage of new career opportunities, I find it necessary
to resign my appointment to the Planning Commission. Whi Ie
my resignation is effective immediately, I will fulfi 1 1 my
commi tment to coordinate the May 18 Areawide Training
Session.
