SUBJECT: CALL 5/25/93 CITY COUNCIL MEETING
6:00 P.M.
The Monday, 5/24/93 City Council meeting has been changed by
action of the City Council on 5/10/93 to Tuesday, 5/25/93. The
purpose of this change is so that the Mayor can be in
attendance for the Audit and Finance Department Annual Report.
No public hearings were scheduled for 5/24 so this change of a
meeting date was easy to make.
The Audit presentation and Finance Department Annual Report can
be lengthy depending on Council review of the topics
presented. In consideration of these two items being on the
agenda, it may be appropriate to call the meeting at 6:00 p.m.
for two other items.

Secondly, the Park and Recreation Commission, or most of the
Commission, would like to visit with the Council for about 1/2
hour to discuss park and trail development philosophy. A joint
meeting with the Commission was held on April 12, but this
meeting was held after the EDA meeting and a number of specific
topics were discussed which allowed very little time for a
general philosophical discussion on park development issues.
The Commission would like to visit with the Council to review
some of their requests made at its 5/5/93 meeting (see previous
agenda item), and to discuss the Commission's overall
philosophy regarding green space, open space, and park and
recreation needs and opportunities.
Based on the 5/25 current agenda and other items noted above,
it is appropriate for the Council to call this 5/25 meeting to
begin at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of discussing park &
recreation issues with the Commission and/or holding Planning
Commission interviews.
