SUBJECT: PARK AND RECREATION DISCUSSION
The Park and Recreation Commission has asked for a few minutes
with the City Council as a follow up to the joint meeting that
was held on April 12, 1993. The Commission would like to
discuss with the Council some proposed revisions in the Master
Park and Recreation Plan. The revisions relate to a revised
Commission philosophy for park and trail development in the
urban districts of the City. Philosophy for Elk River park and
recreation development was a topic that did not receive a great
deal of attention at the last joint meeting. Some of the more
recent plats that have been reviewed have brought into focus
the need for some updates in the Master Park Plan.
