SUBJECT: IRRIGATION SYSTEM FO NEW CITY
HALL FACILITY
Terry Bye, a member of the Street/Park Department, has used his
computer to draft an irrigation plan for the a ea around City
Hall. The cost for the materials to do the system with the
Street/Park Department doing the installation would be
$12,500.00, plus a possible $1,000.00 additional for trencher
rental. In a recent report on project p ioritizing, I
estimated that it will take 3 person about 10 ork days to
complete the installation.

Clint Corrow, a local irrigation installation co tractor, has a
plan for the area and has offered to submit a bid, but I have
not yet received it at this time. I will have more information
as a handout for the City Council meeting.
I will be asking the City Council's approval to ~o ahead with
the irrigation installation on Monday so that e can keep the
project on schedule.

SUBJECT: IRRIGATION WELL FOR CITY HALL
I requested quotes from four area well driller and so far I
have received quotes from E.H. Renner and Bergerson-Caswell for
the drilling and developing of an irrigation ell for City
Hall. Bergerson-Caswell quoted $3,097.00 an E.H. Renner
quoted $5,700.00. These quotes are based on a 25 foot deep, 8"
well with a 10" stainless steel screen. If sufficient water is
not available at that depth, the price could be higher. It is
my recommendation that the City Council authorize the well
installation by Bergerson-Caswell. Bergerson-Caswell is a
reputable company from Maple Plain and is the contractor that
drilled the City water well on Gary Street.
