SUBJECT: SALE OF SURPLUS ITEMS
I am asking the City Council's approval to hold a
sale at the street garage to sell items such as
tables, fluorescent lights, truck boxes, a snow
trucks, a bombardier track vehicle, and other smaller
sealed bid
old picnic
plow, two
items.
The plan for the sale is as follows:
1. Advertise in the local paper and the Minneapolis Star
Tribune Sunday paper.
2. Display the items from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on 6/5/93.
3. Number each item displayed.

4.
Allow a person to submit a bid on a form supplied and seal
it in an envelope and drop it in a box at the site.
5. Sealed bids would be opened and high bidders would be
notified on Monday, June 7. They could pay for their
purchase when they come to pick it up.
I feel that this method would allow us to dispose of this
property in a legal fashion at no great City expense and not
have to transport it to an auction site.
