Dear East T.H. 10 Property Owner:
The City of Elk River is currently going through a wastewater treatment plant expansion with
a planning period of 20 years. At the same time, the City Council is analyzing the urban service
area contained within the growth management plan. This urban service area will have to be
modified in conjunction with the planned expansion of the wastewater treatment plant.
One of the major issues in the consideration of both the urban service district and the expansion
of the wastewater treatment plant is whether or not municipal sanitary sewer and water will be
extended to the East T.H. 10 area. The City Council would like your input as to whether or not
there is interest in planning for the inclusion of the East Highway 10 corridor in the ultimate
urban seI"\lice area.
If there is interest in including East T.H. 10 in the urban service area, the City Council would
like input as to the timing for utility extensions. An informational meeting has been scheduled
to discuss these items at the following time and place.
