RE: SCHOOL STREET/JACKSON AVENUE INTERSECTION
Dear Council Members:
As directed, we have begun work on the preparation of plans and specifications for the geometric
and signalization improvements at the intersection of School Street and Jackson Avenue. Work
thus far has included a preliminary layout of the street improvements considering long term
improvements to both School Street and Jackson Avenue. We have also made contact with
representatives of the School District and the various utility con1panies which have facilities on
these t\\'O streets.
At Monday evening's City Council meeting, we will be prepared to review the preliminary
alignment with you and also briefly discuss the issues of importance to the School District. We
would like to get your direction as to how to deal with some of the issues so that we may
complete the project plans and specifications and submit them to MnDOT for review.
