SUBJECT: FRESNO STREET
On Thursday afternoon, I received the information that Livonia
Township is planning to pave Fresno Street from the north Elk
River City limits to Highway 169 through Livonia Township.
The City's portion of the road is 1,200 linear feet. Dan, from
Bauerly Brothers Contracting, quoted me prices of $5.49/cy of
CL-5, $15.67 per ton bituminous wear and $7.63/cy of
shouldering. As I estimated the quantities, the total job
would cost about $7,500.00.
I would recommend that the City Council approve this
improvement since it would eliminate a maintenance concern and
would also be a "good neighbor" gesture. These unit prices are
excellent and we should take advantage of them.
