SUBJECT: COUNCIL MEETING TIME CHANGE
The city Council directed staff to draft an ordinance which
would allow the Council to change the time of the regular
council meetings from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This ordinance is
attached. The ordinance requires that the meeting time be
changed by resolution to avoid any other ordinance amendments
if this time should again be changed. The attached resolution
sets the regularly scheduled city council meetings at 6:00 p.m.
Staff recommends the adoption of the attached ordinance and
resolution by two separate motions.

ORDINANCE NO. 93 -
CITY OF ELK RIVER
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 200.00(1) OF THE ELK RIVER
CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES REGARDING REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE
CITY COUNCIL
The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as
follows:
Section 1. Section 200.00(1) of the Elk River Code of
Ordinances is amended to read as follows:
1. Regular Meetings. Regular meetings of the Council shall
be held on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Mondays of each calendar month
at such time of day as the City Council shall establish by
Resolution. Any regular meeting falling upon a holiday shall
be held on the next following business day at the same time and
place.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be effective upon adoption and
publication, according to law.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk

RESOLUTION 93 -
RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE MEETING TIME FOR
REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS
WHEREAS, Section 200.00(1) of the Elk River City Code
establishes the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Mondays of each
calendar month as the regular meeting date of the Elk
River City Council; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.00(1), the time of day of the
regular City Council meetings shall be set by
resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the regular meetings of
the Elk River City Council shall begin at 6:00 p.m.
