SUBJECT: SPECIAL ASSESSMENT REAPPORTIONMENT
Minnesota Statutes require that the City Council approve the
reapportionment of special assessments from a parcel that was
split or platted if special assessments were levied on the
original parcel. The Heritage Landing plat has been recorded~
therefore, the assessments on the original parcel 75-005-2101,
owned by Richard and Jean Kincanon, must now be reapportioned
to the new Heritage Landing lots. The original parcel was
assessed in 1992 for trunk water main and trunk sanitary sewer
lines. The balance remaining to be reapportioned is
$134,227.69.
The City Council is asked to adopt a motion approving the
reapportionment of assessments from parcel 75-005-2101 to the
Heritage Landing lots.
