SUBJECT: VFW PREMISE PERMIT APPLICATION
The VFW Post #5518 has made application to renew its Premise
Permit. As you can see by the information listed below, the
VFW has met the requirement of the City Ordinance of donating
at least 75% of its profits to the City's trade area. The
trade area consists of Elk River, Rogers, Zimmerman, Otsego and
Ramsey.
If the Council approves the Premise Permit, the attached
Resolution must be adopted. The resolution will be sent to the
Minnesota State Gambling Control Board. If the Council should
deny the Premise Permit, a Resolution acknowledging Council
denial must be adopted.

RESOLUTION 93 -
RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PREMISE PERMIT RENEWAL
APPLICATION FOR THE VFW POST #5518
WHEREAS, the VFW Post #5518 has made application for a Premise
Permit renewal to Operate Class B lawful gambling; and,
WHEREAS, a Class B gambling license allows the operation of
pull-tabs, tipboards, paddlewheels and raffles; and,
WHEREAS, the premise upon which the gambling will be conducted
is the Sunshine Depot; 701 Main Street, Elk River, Mn.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Elk River grants its approval of a Premise
Permit for Class B Gambling Operations to VFW Post
#5518 for gambling to be conducted at the Sunshine
Depot.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River
this 16th day of August, 1993.
