SUBJECT: SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
The City Council is requested to call a special City Council
meeting for Monday, October 11, 1993, at 6:00 p.m., prior to
the 7:00 p.m. EDA meeting. The purpose of this special meeting
is to hear a presentation from the Business Park Task Force and
Chair, Pat Dwyer, regarding funding options for a future Elk
River Business Park. This topic has been discussed in a very
preliminary fashion at a number of previous City Council and
EDA meetings. Some indication or final decision from the City
Council on financing options needs to be made in order for the
Task Force to continue on its work program.

Please be advised of a special City Council meeting scheduled
for 6:00 p.m., on Monday, October 11, 1993, at the Elk River
City Hall, 13065 Orono Parkway.
City Administrator, Pat Klaers, has agreed to call a special
Council meeting for the sole purpose to review financing
options with the EDA Business Park Task Force. The City
Council will hear a status report from Task Force Chair,
Patrick Dwyer. Toward that end, the City Council will likely
be asked to consider one or more sources of City funds for the
Business Park endeavor.

Hopefully, Task Force members will be able to attend this
meeting in support of Mr. Dwyer's summary/presentation. The
Task Force is scheduled to meet one more time prior to the
October 11th City Council meeting. This meeting, scheduled for
October 7th, will enable the TaskForce to finalize various
elements of the presentation to the City Council.
Please mark your calendar for attendance at the October 11th
City Council meeting. If you have any questions or comments,
