Dear City Official:
I wish to extend to you a cordial invitation to attend the League of
Minnesota Cities' regional meeting hosted by the City of Avon on
October 7, 1993 at Rascal's Restaurant.
The afternoon program. beginning at 2:30 p.m. will be a panel
presentation by representatives of State of Minnesota Departments.
There will be adequate time in the afternoon program for open
discussion of local issues - bring your questions or concerns to the
meeting for discussion.
The afternoon program. concluding at 5:00 p.m. will be followed by a
social with a cash bar available and then dinner at 6:15 p.m.

Following a welcome to our city from the Mayor. LMC President. Leland
Swanson, will address the audience regarding the organization's focus
for the coming year. After the President's message the League will
present its new video "How to Conduct a Truth in Taxation Hearing."
The dinner will conclude with door prizes. including a free
registration to the 1994 annual conference in St. Paul.
To make reservations for your city, please return the enclosed
registration form as soon as possible. In case of cancellations,
please notify Lisa Heinen by September 30. Your city will be billed
for those who did not attend and did not cancel their reservations.
If anyone from your city needs special accommodations or has a special
dietary need, please advise us so special arrangements can be made.

The League of Minnesota Cities invites city oFflcials to a"end
the 1993 regional meetings. The evening program which we
encourage elected officials to attend will feature presentations on
conducting a truth in taxation hearing and a presentation "LMC
by the Numbers" a look at the League and major city issues.
The afternoon program will bring city oFflcials and state
agency representatives together for discussions' of issues the
agencies handle.
