Over the past few months, we have taped a number of City
Council meetings on the new audio/video tape system.
Eventually we hope to have one City Council meeting per month
put on the Cable TV public access channel on a delayed tape
basis. This may expand to more Council meetings, the EDA and
the Planning Commission as we become more comfortable with the
Cable TV system.

As time allows on 10/4/93, we would like to show the City
Council some segments of previously taped Council meetings. In
this manner, we hope to show the City Council what works well
and what does not in terms of hearing and seeing everything
that is going on. We know there are problems with hearing and
catching on camera the citizens who speak from their chairs in
the audience. This may necessitate another podium or mike
being installed or requiring citizens with public comments to
come to the existing podium. Also, we know that there are
concerns with the mikes being very sensitive at the Council
table and overhearing lots of chatter and "paper shuffling" by
the Councilmembers and staff.
