7.1. Consider 221st Avenue Improvements
At the 9/27/93 City Council meeting, this agenda item was
delayed until the City Engineer, Street Superintendent,
and myself could get together and discuss the overall
expenses, need/priority, and timing for this project. The
Street Superintendent has been gone on vacation for a few
days and our otherwise busy schedules have not allowed the
three of us to get together to discuss this issue. A key
issue as far as I am concerned is how this project will be
financed. It is likely that this project will receive
very limited discussion on 10/11 and hopefully we will be
able to discuss the project in more detail at the
10/18/93 Council meeting.
7.2. Consider Park and Recreation Terms and Vacancies

Attached for your review is the Park and Recreation
Commission roster. At a joint Commission and City Council
meeting it was determined that the best time to advertise
for vacancies on the Commission was sometime after Labor
Day and before Christmas. We are now in that period of
time. If the City Council desires to advertise for
vacancies on the Commission, then the staff should receive
direction in this regard. Attached for your review are
letters from Dave Anderson, Clair Olson, and Sue Daleiden
in which all three Commissioners are requesting
reappointment. These are the only three terms expiring at
the end of 1993.
