SUBJECT: UPDATE ON BOARD AND COMMISSION
INTERVIEW PROCESS
Letters have been sent to all board and commission members
whose terms will be expiring on December 31, informing them of
the City's policy on appointments. These members have been
informed that there will be an add in the Star News and an
article in The Current for commission vacancies.
There are 12 terms expiring on December 31. The number of
interviews which the City Council will have to hold will depend
on the number of applicants for each position.

The deadline for accepting applications is December 10. The
Council may want to consider setting aside a couple evenings
for interviews or possibly holding interviews from 6:00 to 7:00
on regular Council meeting days. Due to the number of terms
expiring, it is conceivable that the appointment process will
not be complete by December 31.
