SUBJECT: ELK RIVER AREA ARTS COUNCIL
REQUEST
We are in receipt of a letter from Jane Thompson of the Elk
River Area Arts Council requesting release of the $5,000
included in the Mayor and Council budget as a contribution to
the Arts Council.
Prior to release of these funds, the Council requested that the
remaining 1992 match of $2,718.30 be raised. The Arts Council
has provided a funding breakdown which indicates that they have
raised $15,291.72 in the past year. According to this
information they meet the Council requirements and it is
appropriate that the $5,000 be released to the Arts Council.
