SUBJECT: DON SPOTTS VACATING HIS SEAT
AS PLANNING COMMISSION CHAIRMAN
At the November 23, 1993, Planning Commission Workshop,
Commission Member Don Spotts informed the Planning Commission
that he would not be reapplying for a position on the Planning
Commission. Mr. Spotts indicated in a letter that his current
employment will prevent him from dedicating enough time to
attend the necessary planning and zoning meetings.

I elect not to reapply for the appointed position of planning
commissioner, therefore I am submitting my resignation and
position for that post with the City of Elk River.
My current employment conflicts with the necessary time that one
should devote to the planning and zoning meetings.

I am most appreciative of the time spent as a. member of the
commission helping to expand on the governmental processes of our
comm unity.
I hope I wa.s able to contribute to our progress and growth toward
the 21st century.
