A representative from the Eddy Family Foundation was present at the June 19,2006 City Council
meeting and presented $2,000.00 to the Elk River Fire Department and $2,000.00 to the Elk River Police
Department.
Discussion
None
Financial Impact
The Eddy Family Foundation donated a total of $4,000.00 to the City of Elk River. The Police
Department will use their $2,000.00 to purchase tactical ear microphones for the SWAT team. The Elk
River Fire Department will use their $2,000.00 to purchase rescue equipment to assist on personal injury
accidents.

It is requested that Mayor and Council adopt the attached resolution acknowledging the monetary
contribution from Eddy Family Foundation Energy pursuant to Minnesota State Statute 465.03.

RESOLUTION 06-
RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all CiV1C groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the Elk River Police Department received a $2,000.00 donation from the
Eddy Family Foundation that will be used to purchase tactical ear microphones for the
SWAT team; and
WHEREAS, the Elk River Fire Department received a $2,000.00 donation from the Eddy
Family Foundation that will be used to purchase rescue equipment to assist on personal
injury accidents; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River
to acknowledge the support and commend the Eddy Family Foundation for their donation.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 10th day of July 2006.
