Introduction
Our office received ten applications for the law clerk position. We interviewed five people. I am
recommending that the City Council hire Jesse Horoshak to fill this position.
Discussion
J esse will be a third year student at William Mitchell College of Law and expects to graduate in May of
2007. He has the necessary qualifications to be certified by the Minnesota Supreme Court as a student
attorney. He is currendy working at the financial aid office at William Mitchell. Mr. Horoshak is available
to start work on Monday, July 17, 2006.
Financial Impact
Jesse is available to work 20 hours per week at a salary of $13.00 per hour. 75% of his salary will be paid
by the federal work study grant through William Mitchell. The remainder of his salary will come from
forfeiture funds.
