A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PETITION OF THE
COMMISIONER OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR
ESTABLISHING A NEW RAILROAD GRADE CROSSING
OF THE BURLINGTON NORTHERN AND SANTA FE RAILROAD
AT 171sT AVE (MSA ROUTE 132)
IN ELK RIVER, MINNESOTA
WHEREAS
WHEREAS
the City of Elk River project SAP 204-132-02 is scheduled for construction
in late 1998, and continuing on into 1999; and
in order to proceed with the proposed construction, Elk River must
petition the Commissioner of the Department of Transportation to issue
an order approving the establishment of a new railroad grade crossing of
the main line track of the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railroad at
171st Avenue (MSA Route 132);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River,
Minnesota:
That the Elk River City Council hereby authorizes the City Engineer to petition
the Commissioner of the Department of Transportation to issue an order
approving the establishment of a new railroad grade crossing on the main line
track of the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railroad at 171st Avenue (MSA
Route 132) in Elk River.
Passed and adopted this 29th day of June 1998.
