APPOINTMENT OF VICE MAYOR
INTRODUCTION
As part of the annual business meeting, the City Council must
appoint a Vice Mayor to preside in the absence of the Mayor.
All Councilmembers are eligible for this office. It has been
past practice of the Council to rotate this position based on
seniority. In 1992, Councilmember Holmgren was appointed Vice
Mayor and, in 1993, Councilmember Dietz was appointed Vice
Mayor.
