SUBJECT: AMY BORST
Amy has been offered a job as a street maintenance worker by
the City of Coon Rapids at a pay rate of $11.00 per hour. As I
do not like the thought of losing a valued employee or
retraining a replacement, I suggest that her position be
upgraded from Step 2 Laborer to Step 2 Maintenance I with a
wage increase from $7.96 per hour to $10.40 per hour. While I
realize this is a substantial raise, I believe that it is well
worth the money for the City to retain a person of Amy's
caliber.
The following is a list of the other Street/Park employees and
their rate of pay.

My staff and I strongly support this recommendation to increase
Amy's salary in order to keep her as a member of this
