OUr decision last December t which was bassd on application
of the re1evant standards and dat.a frcla 'the 1990 census, had the,
effect of dividing the city of st. Cloud between two MSAs. You
have asked us 1:0 reconsider 'that decision and have pre.eni:.ed
aadi tiona.l fact.s and convincinq arguments as to Why the cit.y
should not. be divided.
Based on our revienr of all o:f t:h.. intoJ:'lla1:ion that you havtJ
provided to us, we have reconsidered our initial decision. We
will :redesignat.e the St.. Cloud, Hinnesota, IISA .s a three cou.nty
me'tropolitan statistical area (compJ.'."uinq Benton County,
Sber:~e Cc\U\ty, and S~earns County) that. vill include the
_ ent:ire central ci~y of S't. Cloud. This revised 4esignat1on. will
_ be announceCl by the Office of xanaqement and Bud9'et at:. t:he time
the metropolitan area defini~ions a:a updated in June 1994.
