Our present system which is 8 years old will only handle 10 digits. Three new scanners are needed to accommodate the 11 digit system. Also, parts are no longer available to repair our present scanners. Our software system that is 8 years old, is also outdated. An updated software program is now available. See attached correspondence from Total Register Systems regarding costs. e Total Register Systems has supplied North Bound with all our computer needs and is well recognized in the liquor industry. They have in excess of 150 stores using their system. Northbound was one of the first when we purchased the system 8 years ago. First of all changes in the liquor industry have required systems to maintain UPC codes up to 11 digits. Your current software will handle up to 10, and the upgrade will allow up to 12 digits.
