TO PURCHASE FLAGS
INTRODUCTION
The City is requesting that the American Legion purchase two 15' x 25'
American Flags for the Jackson Square flagpole.

BACKGROUND
In the past the American Legion has been very generous in purchasing some
of the flags for the Jackson Square flagpole. The Legion has purchased these
flags through pull-tab proceeds. These flags are very expensive,
approximately $430.00 each, and the generosity of the American Legion is
greatly appreciated.
The State Charitable Gambling Board requires that the City Council make a
formal request for this type of donation.
ACTION REQUESTED
A motion requesting the American Legion to donate two 15' x 25' flags for the
Jackson Square flagpole.
