SUBJECT: ISTEA APPLICATION

At the 2/17/94 City Council meeting, an ISTEA presentation was made by
Linda Frederickson. Linda requested the City to be the sponsoring agency
for the ISTEA Grant Application for Federal funding to help restore the
Sherburne County Courthouse. At this meeting, the City Council agreed to
sponsor the grant application provided that the City was not responsible for
the local matching fund requirement and also contingent upon the City
Council reviewing the final grant application. Attached for your review is the
final grant application. It is anticipated that John Kuester will be present at
this 3/7/94 Council meeting to update the City Council on the status of this
program and grant application. I understand that the grant application must
be submitted by March 10, 1994.
