The next few months are beginning to look busy for the City Council and we
still have a few special agenda items that are not scheduled. On Monday,
everyone should bring their calendar so that we can look at our March, April,
and May meeting schedule.

The following information is known at this time regarding our meeting
schedule and agenda topics:
March 7 - Monday - City/County joint meeting

March 21 - Monday - City Council meeting

One item should be brought to the City Council's attention regarding the 3/28
and 4/4 meetings. In this regard, the Planning Commission has scheduled a
special meeting tentatively set for Tuesday, March 29, to review the Elk Park
Center site plan. The Council may want to reconsider the date when the
School Street citizens are invited in to discuss the street reconstruction
options for 1994. If the neighbors are invited in on 3/28, it may confuse the
issue and their public comments may not be on the topic at the 3/29 Planning
Commission site plan public hearing. It may be more appropriate to move
this City Council neighborhood meeting to 4/4 and do as many Annual
Reports as possible on 3/28. On the other hand, we may want to be careful on
how full the 4/4 agenda is considering the 8:00 scheduled event.

Still on the topic of the Elk Park Center site plan, the City Council should be
aware that a special Council meeting may (will?) be necessary in April for
this topic provided that the site plan moves out of the Planning Commission
in March.
Other special topic meetings that have yet to be scheduled include the second
CIP meeting and a joint City Council (or EDA)/Utilities Commission meeting.
