SUBJECT: WINE AND 3.2% BEER LICENSE FOR
LAROSE'S PIZZA & PASTA

INTRODUCTION
James and Marlene LaRose have made application for a wine and 3.2% on-
sale beer license. The beer and wine will be sold on the premises of LaRose's
Pizza and Pasta, which will be located at 508 E. Freeport Avenue.

BACKGROUND
On August 16, 1993, the City Council approved a conditional use permit to
amend the Elk River Plaza PUD Agreement to allow a pizza and pasta
restaurant on Lot 5, Block 1, of the Elk River Plaza 2nd Addition (same
building as Big Wheel Rossi). The restaurant will be operated by James and
Marlene LaRose.
The hours of operation have been set by the conditional use permit and are as
follows:
Monday through Thursday -- 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday -- 11:00 a.m. to midnight
Sunday -- Noon to 11:00 p.m.
Mr. LaRose has submitted the necessary applications and license fees for the
wine and 3.2% on-sale beer licenses. The police department conducted the
required background check which was approved by the Chief of Police.
