SUBJECT: SALE OF TAX FORFEITED LAND
Sherburne County has provided the City with a list of parcels in the City of
Elk River which are to be forfeited to the State for nonpayment of taxes.
There are seven tax forfeit properties in the City limits.

Attached you will find a list of the parcels as well as a map showing the
location of the parcels. As you may recall, in the past the City has purchased
tax forfeit properties as needed for drainage, street improvements, or parks.
Staff has reviewed the parcels on the attached list and determined that none
of the parcels would be of benefit to the City. Staff is therefore
recommending that the City Council approve the sale of each of these parcels.
ACTION REQUESTED
The Council is asked to adopt a motion approving the sale of these properties
and authorizing Sherburne County to proceed with the sale of such
properties.
