SUBJECT: COUNTRY RIDGE PRELIMINARY
PLAT UPDATE
Last Monday the Council tabled a preliminary plat request by Country Ridge
Partnership to subdivide 40 acres into 97 single family lots. One of the
primary issues related to the plat focused on the design which did not give
much consideration to saving existing trees. Therefore, the City Council sent
this item back to the Park and Recreation Commission and Planning
Commission for further consideration before taking action on this item.

A special meeting with the Park and Recreation Commission and Planning
Commission has been scheduled for April 6 and April 14 respectively. This
preliminary plat request will then come back to the City Council on April 21,
the same night as the Elk Park Center Phase I site plan review. In addition,
the developer has agreed to meet with staff next week to discuss alternative
designs to the plat, addressing those concerns expressed at Monday night's
meeting. These revisions will then be submitted to the Park and Recreation
Commission and Planning Commission for their review and recommendation.
