Introduction
The Community Development Department has been in acti,Te recruitment for the Senior Planner
position. Offers l1ave been made and accepted, subject to appro\Tal by the City Council.
Discussion
Staff has extended an offer for Senior Planner to Sheila Cartney ,vIlo is the current City Planner in Eagan
and l1as l1eld that position for four ;rears. In addition she served as an assistant planner for two years in
Bloomington. Sheila's education is a BA degree in Local and Urban Affairs from St. Cloud State
Uni'Tertsity. Her anticipated start date is August 23, 2006.
Financiallmoact
Tile Senior Planner salary has been offered at $60,500 \vhich is within the current pay scale for the
position.
