Discussion
Ivlinnesota Election La\v, 204B. 21, Subdi'\lision 2, requires election judges for precincts in a municipality
to be appointed by dle go"verning body of tlle municipality at least 25 days before the election at which
tlle election judges \vill serve. Attaclled is the resolution \vith the judges listed tllat have been assigned to
eitller tile Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 or tile General Election to be
lleld on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 \vith some judges \vorking at both elections.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES
FOR THE ELECTIONS OF 2006
WHEREAS;
pursuant to TvIinnesota Statutes 204B.21 (2), the City Council shall
officially appro\Te the appointment of election judges; and
WHEREAS;
the City of Elk Ri\Ter City Council hereby adopts the judges listed on
Exhibit A, hereto attached, as the official judges for the September
12 State Primal)T, and the November 7, 2006 General Election, \vith
the understanding that changes may be necessary to the
appointments in order to fill "\Tacancies and meet patty splits.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City ofETh: River,
IvIinnesota, that dle names listed on Exhibit A, hereto attached, are tlle Official Election
Judges for tile City of Elk R1,rer, State Primary on September 12 and the General Election
on NO\lember 7, 2006, and the City Council further authorizes tile City Clerk to appoint
additional judges if and \vllere needed.
