Dear Sir,
As a resident of Elk River, I was looking forward to the long
holiday weekend.
We live very close to lake orono and enjoy our time at the
beach. On a very Hot Saturday July 1st, we decided to go to
lake orono with our children, only to find it blocked off and
invaded by carnival workers and tents and trailers. It was
our understanding the festival would be on July 4th.
I would like to know who made the decision to let people camp
on our only public beach area and completely block it off
more than 3 days before the fourth. Especially on a hot july
weekend.
I am very disappointed in our local government for allowing
this to happen.
