Introduction
On February 13,2006, Street Department staff appeared before the City Council to seek direction with
much needed additional office space. On May 8, 2006, staff again appeared before the Council requesting
permission to lo,ok at a portable office building as a temporary solution and to request proposals for an
architectural firm to do a master site plan for a twenty year public works facility.
Discussion
Staff received four requests for proposals and based on experience with public works facilities,
interviewed two of the architectural firms. Staff's unanimous choice was Oertel Architects, who had the
lowest fee for services.
Financial Impact
Total proposal fee of $9,860.00 to come from government buildings reserve fund.

$9,860.00.
