SUBJECT: UPDATE ON SCREENING AND
ENV1RONMENTALISSUES
RELATED TO CUSTOM MOTORS

The City has completed a preliminary environmental review of the Custom
Motors site. Staff feels that contamination on this site does not pose an
immediate danger to the public health. Staff also is prepared to make a
recommendation on screening.
Staffs recommendation on these issues will be influenced by the outcome of
the City initiated zone change of the Custom Motors site. That zone change
request was tabled by the Planning Commission. Staff asks that the
screening and environmental issues also be delayed so they can be brought
forward to the City Council at the same time as the zone change. In the
meantime, staff will address any additional questions you have at Monday
night's meeting.
