SUBJECT: REZONING REQUEST BY THE CITY
OF ELK RIVER, PUBLIC HEARING,
CASE NO. ZC 94-02
OVERVIEW
This particular application involves the rezoning of approximately 15 acres of
property lying north of Highway 10, which includes Custom Motors
(approximately 8 acres) and another parcel immediately to the north (7
acres). Both are zoned II (Light Industrial).

The Planning Commission reviewed this item at their March 22, 1994,
meeting and requested tabling this item until the April 26, 1994, meeting.
The Commission requested staff provide additional information regarding
possible City financial assistance in relocating Custom Motors. Furthermore,
it was also requested that an updated legal opinion from the City Attorney be
provided outlining the City's position in upholding this rezoning if approved.
This information will be provided to the Planning Commission at their next
meeting.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the City Council table this item until May 16, 1994.
