Authorization to award contract for Rivers Edge Commons
Discussion
In July 2006 Council authorized advertisement for bids for redesigned Rivers Edge Commons. The
engineers estimate was $747,000. Bid opening was on August 22, and eight bids were received. The low
bid $707,529.13 from American Liberty Construction of Rockford, Minnesota. American Liberty
Construction recendy completed a one million dollar park project for the City of Otsego.
If awarded, this project will begin in mid September with the goal of having everything, except
landscaping, completed this year
Financial Impact
$707,529.13 to come from the park dedication fund.
