Introduction
In March of 2006 the City Council approved the purchase of a Ford F-550 truck cab and chassis which
has fmally been delivered. It is now time to order the dump box and snowplow for this truck.
Discussion
We received quotes from three venders and Aspen Equipment of Bloomington was the lowest bidder.
We have purchased truck equipment from them in the past and they've done a satisfactory job.
Financial Impact
Equipment Certificates in the amount of $347,000 was dedicated to the purchase of three trucks:
o A tandem axle snowplow truck for $165,420.07
o A single axle snowplow truck for $130,819.28
o A F-550 one ton cab and chassis for $ 33,360.92
This will leave a balance of $17,399.73 for the box and plow for the F -550 truck.
