SUBJECT: City Flag Presentation
In late 1993, a contest to design a City Flag was held. The City received 29
entries to the contest. Of the 29 entries, the Council voted a winner and a
runner- up.
Melanie Rieschl was the runner-up. Ms. Rieschl received a $25.00 gift
certificate redeemable at any Elk River Chamber of Commerce business.
e Rick Johnson was the winner of the flag contest. Mr. Johnson will be present
on Monday evening. Mayor Duitsman will present Mr. Johnson with a flag
and a $100.00 gift certificate redeemable at any Elk River Chamber of
Commerce business.
Flags are available for purchase at City Hall for $31.00 each.
